Eclectically furnished and simply oozing with rustic charm, this is a place to get away from it all and enjoy stunning riverside views, secret woodland gardens and a natural environment that will get your creativity flowing. This unique artist’s retreat sits on banks of the Helford River close to Frenchman’s Creek, where the famed Daphne Du Maurier found much of her literary inspiration. Capture the sunset from the covered veranda or the open deck, follow the pathways amongst glades of magnolia, camellia and honeysuckle, roam along the riverbank, or simply kickback and make yourself at home in a shabby-chic retreat that you can call your own.
Inside
- Style: The ambience of a quirky 1920’s artist’s pad. Shabby-chic décor, rustic charm and eclectic furnishings including an abundance of old pine, blue slate and loose rugs on clay tile and wood floors.
- Bedrooms: A large double, a sofa bed in the living area, and a bathroom with a shower and roll-top bath.
- For relaxation: Chill out in the living room or the sunroom and enjoy beautiful river views
- For recreation: Woodland gardens to be explored; table tennis table

Outside
Pathways lead away from flat, open lawns to woodland gardens and glades of magnolia, camellia and honeysuckle. As well as the secret gardens there is a cobbled courtyard with a barbecue, a garage, and a covered veranda and open deck overlooking the river. There is also a child’s swing, trampoline and sandpit by the lawns to the south of the house. Anchoring for boats lies just 10-metres off the quay.
